UPS has trained more than 205,000 drivers to recognize the signs of human trafficking and take action, transforming a distributed workforce into a nationwide detection network capable of identifying and disrupting trafficking activity in real time. This effort reflects a broader commitment to strengthening prevention across the transportation sector and setting a new standard for industry leadership.
Through its partnership with Truckers Against Trafficking, UPS also supports the Freedom Drivers Project, a mobile exhibit that educates communities about the realities of human trafficking and equips individuals to recognize warning signs. Since 2014, UPS drivers have transported the exhibit more than 32,000 miles, hosting more than 8,500 tours across the United States.
Truckers Against Trafficking works to educate and mobilize transportation professionals who are uniquely positioned to identify signs of exploitation along highways, in truck stops, and within communities across North America. Because professional drivers are often present in places where trafficking occurs, informed reporting can play a critical role in identifying victims and assisting law enforcement.
